Green Gram (Moong) by Rekha Lewis

Soak about two cups of Green Gram (moong) overnight


1 medium sized onion - finely chopped
2 to 3 pods garlic - crushed
1 green chilli (depending on your taste)
Two table spoons of grated coconut
Mustard seeds for Seasoning
Two spoons of Coconut oil


Heat oil in a pan , add the mustard seeds. Add crushed garlic and finely chopped onions , green chillies and fry till onions are soft. Add the soaked green gram seeds and a little bit of water and salt and let cook on slow fire till soft. Add the grated coconut and cook a little.
